Where is the best & fast wifi in Arusha?

Wifi in Tanzania can oftentimes be slow and difficult to come by, so The White House Hostel team has created this list of places you can go to get good, free wifi and coffee in Arusha!
Village Cafe – Njiro
Located just 2km from The White House Hostel, Village Cafe is a great spot where you can enjoy great food, and coffee, grab a few things from the supermarket next door and enjoy good, fast wifi! The cafe is often a space where people sit and work, so it is great for digital nomads, where you can have free wifi and plenty of power stations too. Plenty of comfy seating and couches to relax.
Be sure to try their Cinnamon Scrolls if you are a sweet tooth too!
Fifi’s Cafe – Nearby Clock Tower
Take a tuk-tuk or taxi from The White House Hostel into town, just a 10-minute drive, and you can also enjoy free wifi and great coffee at Fifis Cafe. Fifi’s cafe has been an Arusha staple for many years and offers western food, local cuisine, cakes, cookies, drinks, and more. Their wifi is also free and a fast, stable connection, being another great spot to work!
Kitamu Cafe – Nearby Ngorongoro Roundabout and commercial building
Kitamu Cafe, owned and run by a single Arusha mum, is always a favorite for travelers. With plenty of bright colors, unique furnishings, great food, and a quality wifi connection, Kitamu is another must-stop coffee shop! At Kitamu, wifi is free and unlimited, perfect if you plan to work all day long. Kitamu is also just a 10-minute drive from The White House Hostel.
Shanga and Arusha Coffee Lodge – Nearby Aim Mall and Arusha Airport
If you are looking for a nice, outdoor setting where you can experience some local culture, along with food and free wifi, we definitely recommend a visit to Shenga and Arusha Coffee Lodge. You can take the bypass road, just 15 minutes from The White House Hostel in Njiro, to the place, and easily spend a whole day.
Shenga is a support program, whereby they teach adults with disabilities core practical and employment skills. You can take a tour of the program, where the students learn glassblowing, weaving, beading, etc, along with all other sorts of amazing things.
Shenga has its own outdoor cafe, where you can sit under big trees and access their free wifi connection. Or, you can head across the car parking lot to the Arusha Coffee Lodge, being more of a restaurant, and sit inside or out, also with a reliable, free wifi connection. The food is also absolutely amazing, and the visit is worth just grabbing a bite if you don’t have long.
The White House Hostel – Njiro
We couldn’t wrap up our list without mentioning our hostel and bar! For guests staying at The White House, wifi is also free, unlimited, and fast! We have a restaurant on-site, a bar, and plenty of outdoor hangouts spots, making it the perfect oasis for digital nomads traveling and working.
